Bit of a quick piece.... I like to work fast and spontaneously sometimes - just to see what happens.
I really enjoy working with a similar subject matter between my photographs and paintings. I'd like to eventually have a body of work compiled of both, where you actually have to look twice to see what's actually a photo and what's a painting.
I like to blur the lines like that. I want my paintings and photographs to have a thick urban abstract vibe - and to have surfaces riddled with textures and wonderful painterly qualities, strong colours, symbols and text.... and interesting layouts and compositions.
I don't want to depict the world - but rather the more abstract qualities that make up reality. I want to show time, history and process.... I want to show mystery and anonymity, I want to show the every day little things that surround us.... the very simple things that are common elements of any urban environment.... and that weave the very fabric of our cities.
Anyway, I hope you like this piece. Also - don't take the title too literally. Most of my titles are just abstract little word play, that I muck around with until I feel look and feel 'right'

it ties them together really well.
you have definitely acheived what you intended, seeing this grouped with your other recent postings I thought it was some interesting little corner or bulletin board that you captured.
